Cookie notice

TrailTaper keeps cookies to a minimum. We use a little storage to remember your consent choice and keep the site secure, and optional analytics that load only if you allow them.

Last updated June 28, 2026.

A cookie is a small piece of data a site stores in your browser. TrailTaper also uses your browser's local storage in the same spirit. Here is everything we set and why.

Essential storage

These are needed for the site to work and to honor your privacy choices, so they are always on. When you accept or reject analytics, we save that decision in your browser's local storage under the key cookie-consent-v1 so we do not ask again on every visit. Our host, Cloudflare, also sets storage needed for security and to run Turnstile, the spam check on the contact form.

Analytics, consent-gated

We may use Yandex Metrika to understand how the plan generators are used. Its cookies are set only after you accept analytics in the consent banner. If you reject, or never choose, no analytics scripts run and no analytics cookies are set. Analytics loads only after you accept analytics consent.

Advertising

We do not run ads and we set no advertising cookies today. If we add advertising later, likely Google AdSense, it would be gated behind the same consent banner, and we would update this notice before it goes live.

How to change your choice

You can change your mind whenever you like. Use the manage cookies control below to reopen the consent banner and accept or reject analytics again. You can also clear this site's stored data in your browser settings, which brings the banner back, or block and delete cookies through your browser's privacy controls.
